Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the El Monasterio app ("the app") processes, why, who it is shared with and what rights you have. We only process what the app needs to work. Versión en español.
1. Controller

2. Data we process
- Account: user ID; if you create an account, your email address and name, or the data Apple or Google provide when you sign in with them. You can also use the app as a guest, without an email.
- Your choices in the app: name or nickname, age range, topics of interest, element, daily minutes, reminder time, country and currency.
- Your practice: path progress, streak (flame), badges, stones, unlocked content, mood check-ins, diary entries and the thoughts you park for later.
- Purchases: your Plus subscription status (type, dates, free trial). We never see or store your payment details: Apple and Google handle them.
- Advertising (only if you do not have Plus and choose to watch a video to earn stones): the device advertising identifier, if you allow it, and technical ad data.
- Technical data: device model, system and app version, and performance measurements (loading times), without personal content.
Mood check-ins and the diary may reflect how you feel. They are only used to show them to you (your history, your trends) and are never used for advertising.
To save mobile data, the app keeps a copy of the audio, sounds and images you have already opened on your phone. This copy contains no personal data and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. Who we share data with
- Google Firebase (Google LLC / Google Ireland): authentication, database, content storage and performance monitoring.
- RevenueCat, Inc.: subscription management.
- Google AdMob: rewarded videos, for users without Plus only.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, if you choose it, and in-app payments.
We do not sell your data. Some providers may process data outside your country (for example in the United States), with the safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. Advertising and consent
The app never shows ads unless you ask for them: only when you choose to watch a video to earn stones. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent before using data for personalised ads, and you can change your choice in Settings. On iPhone, the system asks whether you allow tracking; if you don't, ads do not use your advertising identifier. Plus has no ads.
6. Retention
As long as you have an account. If you delete it, we erase your progress, diary and account data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, purchase records).
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, delete, object to, restrict and port your data, and withdraw your consent at any time. You can delete your account and all your data from Settings › Eliminar mi cuenta, by following these steps, or by writing to contacto@elmonasterio.app. You may also complain to a data protection authority: the CNIL in France (where the company is established) or the authority of your country.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a minor has given us data without authorisation, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and your progress is stored in a space that only your account can read.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and let you know in the app when the change is significant.
